Just wanted to post a simple do it yourself High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) routine that you can do at home, in the office, or on your lunch breaks.
A brief synopsis on HIIT:
HIIT can be boiled down to: work hard for a brief interval then rest. Rinse & repeat.
The routine with links on how to perform each exercise is:
Air Squats: (20 repetitions, 10 second rest) X 3
Wall Push Up: (20 repetitions, 10 second rest) X 3
Wall Slides: (20 repetitions, 10 second rest) X3
Perform each exercise a total of 3 times i.e. do 20 squats rest for ten seconds, then 20 more rest for 10 seconds and finally the last 20 rest for 10 and do the same for wall push ups.
Pace yourself and start with 5 or 10 repetitions. The key to success is being consistent. Find a 15 minute block of time that you can dedicate to your health.
